I particularly like commercial and institutional design, custom residential and historic renovation. Any project that we get to see from design to completion is rewarding, especially those with innovative design solutions.
Bill grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Structural) in 1999. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado, Arizona, Maryland, New Mexico, and a licensed Structural Engineer in Utah. He joined Goff in 2008 after moving to Durango from the Washington, DC area.
He serves as a firm principal and the head of our structural department. Bill specializes in the design of commercial and residential buildings and special structures as well as the design and detailing of cold formed (light gauge) steel systems. He volunteers as a Regional Challenge Master for Destination Imagination and has assisted the Fort Lewis College Village Aid Project and Trails 2000 as a professional partner.
When he is not in the office or helping the community, he is out cycling, snowboarding, traveling and spending time with his family
