Overview
Goff designed the civil improvements for Sitter Family Hall at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. The structure is home to the college’s Geology, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Engineering programs. The design work for the $27 million, 58,000 sq. ft. project. consisted of deep sewer main relocations and extensions; water, gas, hot, and chilled water mains; electric main and storm drain improvements; as well as site grading for hardscape and landscape areas. It was important to seamlessly connect the new utilities to the existing facility. The civil design team reviewed the required LEED matrixes for water quality treatment and erosion control and worked closely with the project LEED AP Project Administrator to ensure compliance. This project obtained LEED Gold certification.
