Edgemont Ranch Metro District (ERDM) Sewage Treatment Plant Replacement
Client: Edgemont Ranch Metro District
Project Manager: Rob Harries
Overview
Acting as the District’s Engineer, Goff assembled the design team and orchestrated the design effort for the District’s new 0.175 MGD sewage treatment plant. The new plant will include BIOCOS® secondary treatment basins. The BIOCOS® activated sludge process is operated at a constant water level during the whole process cycle, and therefore represents a hybrid technology (Biological Combined System) comprising features of continuous flow and SBR systems. This pioneering effort required exhaustive review and by CDPHE as an alternative treatment system. The project includes constriction of a new 5,000 SF process building and laboratory, and extensive site grading of the project site. The project is scheduled for completion in Fall 2021 and will and be the first such system constructed in the USA.
