Licensed Civil Engineer (PE-1)
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Design and prepare construction plans for new/renovated infrastructure improvements (potable water, sanitary sewer, site grading, roadway corridor, and stormwater infrastructure)
- Daily use of Civil 3D and business office software
- Assist with the development of project specifications and cost estimates
- Mentor and direct EITs and CAD Design staff
- Assist senior civil engineers with cost proposals for new projects
- Attend and participate in project meetings with the design team, client, and/or reviewing agencies
- Maintain project milestones, communicate with the client, reviewing agencies, and design team
- Assist with the preparation of engineering reports
- Monitor and prioritize project deadlines for multiple current projects
- Collaborate with the structural and surveying departments

Experience
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
- PE in Colorado or the ability to obtain licensure in CO by reciprocity or examination within 1 year of hire date
- At least 4 years of experience as a project manager overseeing the preparation of construction plans, raw project billing, and coordinating drafting with EITs and/or CAD Designers
- Mastery of Civil 3D
- Use of and ability to incorporate drafting standards including sheet setup, plans, profiles, notes, and details
- Experience designing large and small infrastructure projects in both rural and urban areas
- Experience using CDOT, CDPHE, FEMA, USDA, and other governmental design standards and forms
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently on diverse projects within a dynamic team that may include several staff and sub-consultants

$37-$46/hour, DOE
