Entry Level Civil Engineer (EIT-1)
Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist project managers with the preparation of construction plans for new/renovated infrastructure improvements (potable water, sanitary sewer, site grading, roadway corridor, and stormwater infrastructure)
- Daily use of Civil 3D and business office software
- Assist with the development of project specifications
- Attend and participate in project meetings with the design team
- Assist with the preparation of engineering reports
- Prioritize work deadlines and ask for clarification
- Collaborate with the structural and surveying departments

Experience
- BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or two years of drafting/design experience
- Familiarity with Civil 3D
- Use of and ability to incorporate drafting standards including sheet setup, plans, profiles, notes, and details
- Experience designing large and small infrastructure projects in both rural and urban areas
- Experience researching governmental design standards and forms such as CDOT, CDPHE, FEMA, and USDA
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently under the supervision of a project manager on diverse projects
Compensation
$30-$36/hour, DOE
